Vertical Platform Lifts

Vertical Platform Lifts - Manufactured with a stationary enclosure provides a smooth interior for the lift to operate and eliminates the need for an expensive hoistway.  Gates and doors are

provided as needed.

The enclosure can be fitted with a plexiglass dome for weather protection or left open at top.

Lifts traveling under 60" do not require an enclosure.

LU/LA Elevators

Limited Use / Limited Application Elevators

Since the enactment of the ADA , there has been a need for another type of vertical transportation. A Process was started to define what became a Limited Use/Limited Application (LU/LA) elevator. National Wheel-O-Vator Co., Inc has been in the forefront of the codes and standards development process, assisting the various code making bodies. The Evolution has been designed utilizing ADAAG, AMSE & ICC/ANSI criteria to bring accessibility to a higher level.

Limited Use / Limited Application Elevators in general were created to fill the void between the commercial elevator and the vertical platform (wheelchair) lift. Some typical applications will be schools, libraries, small businesses, churches and multi-family housing.

Some of the greatest challenges that face architects and specification writers today include meeting the necessary code requirements, budgetary constraints and space limitations that can be present in new and alteration construction. Using National Wheel-O-Vator's Evolution allows the architect or the specifier to take the guesswork out of integrating an ASME A17.1 Part XXV LU/LA elevator into their application.

The Evolution has been fitted with our exclusive horizontal COP (Car Operating Panel). This panel is designed to be user friendly for both the ambulatory and mobility impaired. It possesses large push buttons for ease of contact by those who may need to use a palm, elbow or other means. An easy to read digital position indicator, visual and audible signaling devices and Braille surfaces provide a greater level of usability. As an additional safety feature, an optional ADA hands-free phone can be built into the panel.

We are a company committed to quality, easy to install, long-lasting products. Our product line also includes residential elevators, stairway chairlifts, vertical platform lifts and incline platform lifts.
